Creating a sense of belonging
At the Danish Diversity Day conference, we focus on how to create workplaces with a high sense of belonging.
There are many studies that indicate that companies that both work strategically to put together a diverse group of employees and to develop an inclusive culture with a high "sense of belonging" also have better prerequisites for success in the form of higher commitment, increased ability to innovate and decision-making power as well as retention and attraction of employees.
But what does it take to create workplaces where everyone feels they belong so that we not only put together diverse workplaces, but also create workplaces where creativity, innovation, well-being and job satisfaction go hand in hand? It is precisely when people with different perspectives, attitudes and backgrounds dare to meet each other exactly as they are that we turn over all stones and minimize the blind spots that invariably arise when everyone looks alike.
